I thought I’d share some of my fave polishes these days, all of which are sweet enough to complement a Valentine’s Day date outfit, don’t you think? It’s not available yet, but I saw this pretty lilac polish by Butter London on BellaSugar, called No More Waity, Katie in honor of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s upcoming big day. Two other colors I’ve been all about lately (and wearing for the last month), are Deborah Lippmann’s Prelude To Kiss, a mellow nude, and Whisper by Scotch Naturals, a non-toxic polish that’s pink perfection. What polishes have you been painting on recently?
Well Read
5 FebI’m absolutely drooling over book clutches! They are so sweet and whimsical, and they combine two of my favorite things: books and fashion. I adore real books (you’ll have to drag me kicking and screaming into the world of e-books!), both reading them and having them on display. So these are just too much! The ones above are Kate Spade, below are several from Olympia Le-Tan.
Anthropologie Goes Bridal
27 JanAnthropologie is introducing a wedding line! BHLDN will be “unveiled” Feb. 14 — how romantic — and I’m so excited to see what’s to come! Right now the site has a beautiful slideshow with snippets of the collection (sparkles, silk, frills, oh my!), see them all below!! (more…)
Girl Crush: Clémence Poésy
15 JanWhile I love Michelle Williams, Marie Claire‘s cover gal for its February 2011 issue, I have to say I was more impressed with the photo essay featuring Clémence Poésy of Harry Potter and Gossip Girl fame. Not only is she strikingly beautiful, I love how the photos were styled, with sex kitten makeup and hair juxtaposed with sweet and prim sweaters, skirts, and dresses. See the spreads below!

Little Things
27 OctI am really good at justifying certain purchases, especially little luxuries that I use on a daily basis. One thing I use every day is my bus pass, and right now I carry it in a janky plastic case, but I’m thinking it’s time for an upgrade. I’m in love with this Marc by Marc Jacobs Commuting Case ($32), but there are quite a bit of equally fantastic card cases to choose from. See them below! (more…)
Rain or Shine
20 OctWe got our first taste of rain here in San Fran, and unlike last year (when I ended up procrastinating and missing out on SD’s short rainy season), I made it a priority to find some rain boots before the weather gets wetter. Mission (hopefully) accomplished! I saw a gal on the bus when I first moved up here with the cutest wedge rain boots, and even though hers were black, I found the exact same pair (Tretorn Plask) in green on sale at shoes.com! Fingers crossed they A) fit and B) look as cute as I remember!
If not, see my backup boots when you keep reading . . . (more…)
I Want, I Need: A Fun Little Coat & Tweed Mini
12 OctI am currently craving a cute swing-y coat and super-mini tweed skirt — both to be paired with toasty tights and flats or booties for the upcoming chilly seasons (although SF is having a freaky warm spell right now!). Combining the best of two worlds is this delicious tweed coat with a faux fur collar . . . hellloooo retro chic!
