Debate Night Snack

Since we couldn’t watch the second presidential debate Tuesday night without an ELITE snack :) , we picked up a great wine and cheese combo at Discover Wines. The wine we chose comes from Blasted Church Vineyards (the store behind the name isn’t as scandalous as it sounds), and it is a blend of Ehrenfelser, Pinot Gris/Grigio, Riesling and Gewurztraminer called Hatfield’s Fuse. The lady helping us out recommended pairing it with an aged Gouda and a rosemary/Parmesan cracker made by a local chef. The saltiness of the Gouda paired excellently with the sweetness of the wine, but the crackers were a bit too flavorful and salty, next time I would have picked a less imposing cracker.
